The Party Guys Are Finalists at the 2026 Shropshire Music Awards!

We can finally share some absolutely incredible news…

The Party Guys, very own DJ Sean Goodman, have been named a finalist for Best DJ at the 2026 Shropshire Music Awards!

To be recognised alongside some of the most talented DJs and artists in Shropshire is a huge honour and an achievement we’re incredibly proud of.

Putting Mobile DJs on the Main Stage

Mobile DJs are often overlooked within the wider music industry, particularly when compared with mainstream club DJs. But being a professional mobile DJ takes a huge amount of musical knowledge, technical ability, versatility and skill.

You’re not playing to a crowd that has arrived specifically to hear one style of music. At a wedding, birthday or private celebration, the dance floor could include several generations, each with completely different tastes.

One moment you might be mixing a current dance anthem, followed by a 2000s throwback, an R&B classic, some 90s house, a little Motown and then the song everyone’s suddenly demanding!

Making all of that flow naturally and keeping the dance floor full—is where the real craft comes in.

We Come From the Club Scene

What makes The Party Guys different is that we come from the club scene.

We know how to properly mix tracks together, build energy throughout the night and create that huge, high-energy party atmosphere everyone wants at their own celebration.

We don’t simply play one song, let it finish and then press play on another. We read the room, watch how people react, choose the right track at the right moment and mix the music together to keep the momentum moving.

It’s about knowing when to raise the energy, when to bring everyone together and when to drop that one track that sends the entire dance floor wild.

Those skills were developed in clubs—but we now bring them to weddings, birthdays, corporate events and private parties across Shropshire and beyond.

Open Format - and Proud of It

Unlike many club DJs who specialise in one particular genre, we’re open format—and we mix it all.

That versatility is one of our biggest strengths.

From dance, house and club classics to R&B, hip-hop, pop, rock, indie, Motown, disco, 80s, 90s, 2000s and today’s biggest anthems, we bring different generations and musical tastes together on one dance floor.

No two celebrations are ever the same, so no two sets should be either.

We don’t arrive with the same playlist and play it in the same order at every event. We work with our clients, listen to their requests, understand the atmosphere they want and build a soundtrack around them and their guests.

Being open format means we can change direction instantly. If the crowd wants singalong classics, we take them there. If they’re ready for club anthems, we raise the energy. If a forgotten throwback suddenly transforms the room, we build on it.

That ability to adapt is what turns a good party into an unforgettable one.

For us, being a DJ has never been about simply turning up, switching on the equipment and pressing play.

It’s about creating an experience from the moment guests enter the room until the final track of the night.
