Proud Corporate Sponsors of One of Shropshireās Biggest Events

Saturday at the Shropshire County Show was honestly one of those days weāll be talking about for a very long time. As proud corporate sponsors of the event, it was an amazing opportunity for all of us at The Party Guys to be part of one of the biggest and most loved events in the county.
From the second we arrived, the atmosphere around the showground was incredible. Thousands of people, beautiful sunshine, packed arenas, brilliant exhibitors, amazing food, livestock displays, shopping stalls, and families everywhere enjoying themselves ā it really was the perfect county show experience.
You could feel the excitement all day long, and the whole event had such a welcoming, positive atmosphere from start to finish.
Sunshine, Smiles & Slightly Questionable Sun Cream Decisions āļøš

Now⦠when we checked the weather forecast and saw sunshine all day, we were absolutely delighted.
What we didnāt realise was quite how much sunshine there was going to be.
Like true professionals, we confidently started the morning convinced:
āWeāll be fine.ā
Fast forward several hours later and some of us were walking around looking suspiciously similar to overcooked lobsters.
There may or may not have been emergency searches for aftersun happening by late afternoon. Letās just say a few foreheads were glowing brighter than expected by the end of the day. The classic British mistake of thinking:
āIt doesnāt feel that hot.ā
Meanwhile the sun had clearly decided otherwise.
Despite the slightly crispy outcome, the weather genuinely made the day even more special. The showground looked fantastic in the sunshine and everyone was in such good spirits all day long.
The Horse That Nearly Sent Us Running š“š³

One of the funniest moments of the entire day came while exploring some of the livestock and equestrian areas.
Now, we knew there would be horses there.
We were prepared for horses.
What we were not prepared for⦠was what can only be described as the largest horse any of us had ever seen in our lives.
Honestly, this thing looked less like a horse and more like it had been borrowed from a medieval battlefield. Standing next to it suddenly made us all feel about four feet tall.
There was a genuine moment where we all collectively stopped, stared upwards, and quietly questioned whether this magnificent creature was actually part dinosaur.
Absolutely beautiful animal, but terrifyingly huge.
Safe to say there was a respectful distance kept for a few minutes while we recovered from the shock of seeing a horse the size of a small bungalow casually standing there minding its own business.

We Completely Fell in Love with a 9-Week-Old Stallion Foal ā¤ļøš

While the giant horse nearly frightened the life out of us, another horse completely stole our hearts.
Somewhere during the day we met the most adorable 9-week-old stallion foal imaginable, and honestly, it was game over from that moment.
Tiny little legs.
Massive personality.
Completely adorable.
The amount of time we spent stood there talking about how cute he was probably became slightly embarrassing by the end. There were genuine conversations about whether we could somehow bring him back with us.
Spoiler:
Apparently thatās ānot practical.ā
Weāre still not entirely over it.
If anyone from the show happens to know the foal in question, please let him know he now has several lifelong fans at The Party Guys. š“ā¤ļø
The Motocross, Quad Bikes & BMX Stunts Were Absolutely Insane š„šļøš“

One of the biggest highlights of the day for us was watching the motocross riders, quad bike stunt teams, and BMX performers.
Honestly⦠we spent half the time watching through our fingers wondering how nobody was breaking every bone in their body.
The skill level was unbelievable.
The motocross riders were flying through the air like gravity simply didnāt apply to them, while the quad bike stunt team somehow managed to make giant machines balance on two wheels in ways that didnāt even seem physically possible.
Then came the BMX riders.
Absolutely fearless.
The tricks, flips, jumps, and control they had were genuinely mind-blowing. Every time we thought:
āSurely they canāt top thatā¦ā
ā¦they somehow did.
There were moments where the crowd collectively gasped before erupting into applause seconds later. The atmosphere around the stunt arenas was brilliant all day long, and it added so much excitement and energy to the event.
We definitely left feeling impressed⦠and also very aware that none of us should ever attempt any of those tricks ourselves. š
A Few Beers May Have Been Enjoyed Along the Way šŗš

Now⦠after walking around the showground all day in the sunshine, meeting hundreds of people, getting unexpectedly sunburnt, surviving giant horse encounters, and emotionally bonding with a baby foalā¦
ā¦it would have been rude not to enjoy a few drinks along the way.
Letās just say there may have been:
A couple of beers
A few Dark Fruits ciders
Some very questionable attempts at deciding whose round it was
And at least one moment where somebody confidently said:
āIām definitely not sunburnt.ā
ā¦while looking bright red.
The combination of sunshine, laughter, great company, and a brilliant atmosphere made it one of those perfect summer event days that you genuinely donāt want to end.
It Felt Like Weād Accidentally Become Celebrities šøš

One thing we absolutely did not expect throughout the day was how many people stopped us to say hello.
We spent the whole event chatting with visitors, exhibitors, local businesses, families, and people who recognised The Party Guys ā and honestly, the support was incredible.
But the funniest part?
Getting asked for selfies.
At first it caught us completely off guard, but throughout the day more and more people came over asking for photos with us, and it genuinely felt surreal at times.
There were moments where i though to myself:
āWhat is happening right now?ā
Weāre definitely not claiming celebrity status just yet⦠but for one afternoon wandering around the Shropshire County Show, it certainly felt like weād had a tiny glimpse into that world. š
In all seriousness though, moments like that genuinely mean a lot to us. The support people showed throughout the day was amazing and it was brilliant meeting so many friendly people face-to-face.
The Atmosphere Around the Showground Was Amazing šŖš„

Everywhere you looked there was something happening:
Livestock displays
Equestrian events
Incredible local food
Shopping stalls
Agricultural showcases
Family attractions
Motocross and BMX stunt shows
Community exhibits
Businesses networking
Packed crowds enjoying the sunshine
The entire showground felt full of life all day long.
Events like the Shropshire County Show are so important because they bring together local communities, businesses, families, and visitors in such a positive way, and this yearās event absolutely delivered on every level.
Huge Credit to Everyone Behind the Scenes š
A massive thank you has to go to all of the organisers, staff, volunteers, exhibitors, and everyone involved in making the event happen.
The amount of planning and hard work required to put on a show of this size is enormous, and the entire event ran brilliantly from start to finish.
Everything was incredibly well organised, the atmosphere was fantastic, and you could clearly see how much effort had gone into making the day such a success.
We were genuinely proud to be involved as corporate sponsors.
A Day We Wonāt Forget Anytime Soon ā¤ļø
Saturday gave us:
Great conversations
Lots of laughs
A slight sunburn
Mild fear of giant horses
A new obsession with a baby foal
Incredible stunt shows
A few beers and Dark Fruits
Countless selfies
Amazing support from visitors
Brilliant memories with great people
Honestly, we couldnāt have asked for a better day.
To everybody who came over to chat with us, stopped for a photo, supported us throughout the event, or simply said hello ā thank you so much.
The Shropshire County Show 2026 was absolutely brilliant, and we already canāt wait to do it all again next year. šāļøš“šļøšŗ
